A work party usually takes place on the first full weekend of the month. Occasionally these are moved e.g for New Year, Easter, the Rally. NB The 'May 2018 worrk party will be held on the weekend of APRIL 28/29th.
Please come along and lend a hand as we can only keep fees low by everyone participating and helping out with chores. A jobs list is sent by email to all SPBC recipients a few days before the event.
Work usually starts about 10am. Tea and coffee is provided FOC and on Saturday, a lunch is often provided at a nominal charge.
There is nearly always a social get-together on the Saturday evening of the work party. This may be an organised event or a Free'n'Easy night where folk just gather for a drink and a natter.

Committee meetings are held in the clubhouse on the Sunday of the work party* at 2pm. Observers are welcome. An agenda for the meeting and the unratified minutes from the previous meeting are available to download from the website. (Downloads - Meetings).
*NB the 'May' meeting will be held on APRIL 29th as the work weekend has been moved back to avoid the May-day bank holiday weekend.
The usual Piggy madness with a bar and piggy sandwiches to raise funds for Forget-me-Not Children's Hospice. There will be a tote running on races, piggies and anything else you wish to lay odds on so bring lots of pennies. Hot Pork Sandwiches are available at £3 each on the night. All profits go to our charity!
If you are in the 2018 darts draw, please arrange and play your matches. All second round matches must be completed by noon on 4th February. If you are unable to play by this date, please inform your opponent and give them a bye.
ALL MATCHES up to and including the Quarter finals must be played by noon on March 4th.
The semi-final and the final will be played on the evening of March 24th (AGM eve).
We will also be presenting Forget-me-Not with a cheque for monies raised over the Christmas period.
There will be a charity raffle on the evening - donations of prize items welcomed!

The 2018 AGM will be held in the clubhouse at 2pm on 25th March.
Motions and nominations for committee must be received by the Secretary no later than 2pm on 25th February.
You should receive notice of the AGM by Sunday 4th March. This will arrive by email to your last known email-address. If you do not have an email address, please inform the secretary and request a printed copy. To check your listed address/email by logging onto the website and going to 'My Account'.
Note that visitors are not allowed to attend. All members may atttend, but only full members may vote.
Following the meeting there will be tea/coffee available.
We are heading Wakefield-way for the Easter cruise. Please add your boat name to the list if you would like to join us.
On Friday evening we will mooring above Figure of Three for a barbeque.
On Saturday we will cruise down to Horbury where we will be eating out in the evening. Come along and join us whether by boat, car or on foot. Add you name to the list. (Venue TBC).
On Sunday we will continue onto Wakefield if the weather is kind, then return to the club on Monday.
You are welcome to join in for any part of the weekend or for the whole thing. We welcome lock-wheelers, Barbecuers, and passers by who just drop in for coffee (or something stronger) or a natter.

Back by popular demend - Dennis has organised another Ouse Cruise. The arrangements are pretty loose this year.
Make your way to Selby for May 16th when we will take the late afternoon spring tide to Naburn. There is a list on the board - please add your boat name if you plan to depart from Selby with us on this date.
Spend a week visiting York and or Ripon. The plan is then to return on the neep tide on 23rd May
