Work party weekends
Regular club working weekend is normally on the first full weekend of the month (Saturday & Sunday) but the following exceptions apply....
The April work party will move forward to 11/12th April to miss Easter and the May working party will move back to 25/26th April for Rally prep.
Refreshments are provided and a light lunch is usually available at low cost.
Saturday evening is usually a Free'n'Easy night (Take-away order and BYO drinks) unless there is a published social event taking place.
Charity Pig-Race Night
Please note new date for this event. 7th Feb is the Work Party Saturday!
Usual mayhem, but this year in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. There will be a bar open from 6pm. Please arrive by 7.30 for the start of racing at 8pm.
There will be hot pork sandwiches available at a cost of £2.50. Please put your name on the noticeboard list and number of sandwiches required. If you would like to order a sandwich, but can't get down beforehand then email your requirements to email@example.com and we will add you onto the list.
Jacob’s Joiner – Pub Grub (hot or cold)
This is a free and easy night with a slight difference!
The pub night is just as it says. We are turning the clubhouse into an English pub as they used to be with good food and plenty of pub games for entertainment. We will be putting up a dart board, playing dominoes and cards. Have a go at shove h’penny or skittles.
Jerry is hoping to organise a Tall Story competition – if you have any stories to tell just let jerry know on the evening
Our landlord, Glyn, will no doubt have some good ale and wine
We just ask you to bring along some food to put on the table, something on the lines of pub grub - cold or hot. To make sure (for health and safety reasons) we will have our thermometer at the ready to ensure everything that is supposed to be hot - is hot.
Come along and have a relaxing and fun night.
Feel free to bring along a CD of your choice in-keeping with the pub theme.... or a musical instrument if you fancy an 'open mic' session.
CNS Annual Social Event
CNS are holding their annual social event at SPBC - all welcome. This year's event will feature local folk guitarist/singer-songwriter Roger Davies in concert.
Tickets available from Avril Davies (07870423194)at a cost of £8 to include supper.
A wine-tasting evening organised by Roger Daker and friends. Tickets £5/hd available from Sally/Denise February work-party. Friends and family welcome.
Food will be a Jacob's Joiner finger buffet e.g. cheeses, pate, cocktail sausages etc. Bring along a little of something to share.
Annual General Meeting in the Clubhouse. Members only. Please send you apologies to the secretary if you cannot attend.
We are planning an Easter cruise for the Easter weekend to meet up with Stawberry Island Boat Club for a meal at Stanley Ferry on Saturday 4th April. Please put your name on the list on the noticeboard if you are taking a boat or would like to join us for the meal.
Rally - yeeee-haaaaa!
The SPBC rally will held on the May-day bank holiday weekend. The open day will be on Saturday 2nd May, but the fun will start on the Friday night. This year we are having a Wild West Theme so dig out your gingham and your cowboy hat.
We need lots of volunteers so please contact rally chair, Peter Davies if you would like to help out.
